Given the competition for funding, the Foundation cannot help everyone and even those who fit the current criteria are often disappointed that we are unable to assist.
Other than for our Personal Awards and Medical Research Travel Grants, which are made to individuals, the Foundation only considers applications from registered charities.
We cannot support other non-profit organisations, commercial companies, gap-year activities, DofE awards or Operation Raleigh. We do not provide funding for either undergraduate or postgraduate students.
We do not fund activity retrospectively. The costs you are asking us to support should not be due until at least three months after the relevant Trustee meeting. For ongoing projects, this means we can only contribute to future costs, not those already incurred.
Please be aware that the Wingate Foundation is a small Trust and does not normally fund large charities, including local branch offices of large organisations.
